My interests lie in the fields of animal behavior and experimental psychology. I am currently developing my PhD in which I will evaluate cognition and spatial memory in brood parasitic birds like the Shiny Cowbird (Molothrus bonariensis) and the Screaming Cowbird (M. rufoaxillaris). The objective of this investigation is to study if there are sexual differences in these species associated with the different tasks they perform as a part of their parasitic behavior. My advisors in this investigation are Juan Carlos Reboreda and Alex Kacelnik (Department of Zoology, University of Oxford, UK).
Formerly I did research in urban pest control as a part of my undergraduate thesis. Working with the nectivorous ant (Camponotus mus), I compared toxic baits by studying ants ingestion behavior and their physiological basis.
