The earliest memories that I cherish of myself go back to a curious little girl looking out the window, admiring nature and eager to unveil all its mysteries. All my life I have felt a strong connection towards nature and each and every one of its aspects. This led me to acquire my degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. Towards the end of my career I found myself having strong interests in Conservation Biology. Currently, in means to achieve my PhD degree, I am working on a conservation project involving an endangered passerine, the Yellow Cardinal. The aim of this project is to evaluate the success of reintroductions of Yellow Cardinals rescued from illegal pet trade and study the main factors that can affect the success of these reintroductions, in order to generate recommendations regarding optimal conditions for future liberations.
